Heatwaves in the UK are causing chaos and claiming lives. Our homes, schools, and workplaces weren't built for this extreme heat, and people are dying.

And this is only the beginning. New Met Office analysis warns Britain could face peak temperatures of 45°C within the next 20 years. Yet the UK government is completely underprepared. We must protect our communities.

We need an urgent extreme heat strategy - including maximum working temperatures limits and heat-proofed schools, hospitals and care homes - funded by a stronger tax on the fossil fuel giants cooking our planet.
