UK Government: Protect The Oceans
In March, world governments finally agreed to a Global Oceans Treaty after a decade of negotiations. This is a huge win.
Scientists say we must create a network of ocean sanctuaries that are off limits to threats like deep sea mining, oil drilling and industrial fishing to help our oceans recover, thrive and fight climate change.
The Global Oceans Treaty can help make this happen and protect 30% of our oceans by 2030. Right now less than 3% is protected.
To make this a reality, we need at least 60 governments to sign it into law by 2025.
The UK must show leadership and take action immediately by implementing the treaty and supporting a ban on deep sea mining.
Join the global movement and tell the UK government to deliver ocean protection now!
