Stand against Trump: No more wars for oil

Today it’s Venezuelan oil, tomorrow it could be Greenland’s oil and gas. The last thing the world needs is more wars over oil.

Trump illegally invaded Venezuela because it holds the most crude oil in the world and he wants it to pay back the US fossil fuel companies that bank-rolled his re-election.⁠

Now he is threatening Greenland. If he rips up the Arctic country's ban on oil and gas drilling, the impacts on Indigenous Peoples and animals like polar bears and reindeer will be devastating.

Fossil fuels are already driving the greatest threat to humanity as climate breakdown causes rising temperatures, floods, fires, storms and droughts that are destroying communities all around the world.

With oil driving both conflicts and climate disasters, the need to get off climate-wrecking fossil fuels and move to a cleaner, safer, more stable renewable energy, has never been so urgent.

Things are moving fast. We can’t just sit back and watch in anger - we must band together and turn our outrage into action.
